It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of our fellow member and friend John McDonald.
John passed away peacefully on Monday evening at the Epworth Hospital, with Maggie by his side.
The contribution and legacy left by John to our Rotary club and local community is enormous. His personality, humor and humanity will be everlasting in our memories.
Our thoughts are with John's family and friends at this difficult time.
A public remembrance and celebration of John's life will be held next Wednesday, 23rd of November, 3pm, at the Grant Pavilion, Yallock Cr, in Torquay North.
We will also organize a private club remembrance at an upcoming club meeting when appropriate.
Sincere condolences to his partner Maggie Isom, his children Duncan and Kirsty, and the family.
