Last week I was delighted to attend the event organised by Geelong West Rotary in support of Joyce and Phil Ogden who are cycling 3000 kms to raise awareness and funds for End Polio.

Two years ago, Joyce and Phil, who are members of the Rotary Club of South Launceston, rose a tandem bicycle 3,000km from Perth to Adelaide across the Nullabor.  Their efforts raised $38,000 for End Polio.
Currently, they are riding a similar distance from Adelaide to Sydney and dropped into Geelong to catch up with local Rotarians. They spoke to a group of around 50 Rotarians about their efforts, the ride and the challenges and were presented with cheques of $3000 from Geelong West Rotary and $1500 from Corio Bay Rotary.
