Cowrie Market – Sunday 21st April
Thank you to our volunteers for your time and efforts on the day. The final takings for the day were $872. Not the busiest of markets but at least trade was steady across lunch time.
ANZAC DAY Dawn Service – Thursday 25th April
This year’s Anzac Day Dawn Service saw a return to a “pre-covid” style of commemorative service. Torquay RSL are to be congratulated on what was, by all accounts, a moving service. The weather was kind to us on the day as the only light rain was just prior to and after the event. Our role on the day was to assist Torquay Lions in preparing the food for the Gun Fire Breakfast and distributing programs. Crowd numbers were very high for the service and it seemed like many took the opportunity to enjoy a sausage and coffee after the service was complete. Thank you to our 14 members who helped out on the day.
