Meet Karen & her Story Dog

What a terrific opportunity during Rotary International's Basic Education and Literacy Month to learn more about how the Story Dogs program helps children overcome reading difficulties by reading to dogs.

Karen Knuckey and her too cute, very smart pooches, Penny and Libby, help students at Montpellier Primary School in Highton, Geelong.

As Coordinator for Story Dogs across the South Barwon and Surf Coast region, Karen also looks after a wonderful team of dedicated volunteers and their equally cute and smart K9 companions who are helping students at local primary schools, including Moriac, Bellbrae and Aireys Inlet.

Come along to hear from Karen and either Penny (who loves chasing balls and bubbles) or Libby (who loves cuddles and getting into mischief). Both are Cavalier King Charles Spaniels who love having their photos taken, posing like models every time. Cuteness guaranteed!

Partners and guests welcome. Dinner $30 per person and drinks at the usual Kithbrooke Park bar prices.

Registrations close 1pm, Friday 1 September. Please register now and include dietary requirements in the comments field.
