Well Done everyone! 39 attendees on Monday evening for our Annual General Meeting at Kithbrooke Park. That would have to be an AGM attendance record for our club!

Thank you to Graeme McDonald, who kindly drives Lea to and from our face-to-face meetings.
While mentioning Graeme – ‘A little Birdie’ mentioned to me on Monday that Graeme celebrates a birthday this week and has just celebrated 27 years in Rotary. Congratulations Graeme!
On a very sad note, a dear friend of our club and to many of us – Catherine Eagleson lost her husband Alex last Saturday. Our thoughts and very best wishes we send to Catherine and family.
John McDonald is spending a couple of days in Hospital, for some tests. We wish John all the very best – and hope he is able to be home soon, and no doubt cared for by Maggie (who has done a terrific job over recent months caring for her family members). We look forward to seeing John back with us.
How good it was to see our members, who have had some health challenges over recent times, return and join us on Monday.
Vernon, Jan, Peter, and Martin have all been challenged with their health. We wish them all the very best as they continue to improve.
I would like to acknowledge Greg Plumridge, who himself has had his health challenged. It doesn’t matter where Greg is – he still manages to produce our weekly club Bulletin every week, coordinate the Motor Show, work on, and be involved in our club activities.
Thank you, Greg, for all you do.
While mentioning the Motor Show, the committee have been able to secure the event for next year! So, Folks …… Sunday 13th February is the day. Pop this date into your diaries as it will be ‘all hands on deck’. We certainly look forward to being able to hold this event once again.
Our Rotary Apparel orders have now closed. There was a last-minute rush Monday at our meeting, with members completing their order forms, and passing to Greg. Mal had to ‘fire up’ the Credit Card Machine again at the end of the meeting for payments. How handy is that machine!
A shout out and thank you to Mal. Being Treasurer involves a fair amount of time.
Through our club account, as well as our normal club movements – Mal has been accounting for Rotary Apparel and our night at the Trots.
Mal has done a terrific job ‘getting’ everything in place for our club finances.
The last Rotary Year was quite challenging, as legal regulations tightened, and the Auditors required a lot more information than previously.
Thanks to Mal – our financial situation made it, and the Auditors were happy to sign off on our submitted figures for the last financial year.
It was nice to see Maggie back with us on Monday.
Our Lids4Kids collection is going from Strength to Strength. Thank you to everyone in the club, and the greater community who continue to donate the lids.
Maggie is coordinating some working bees to sort, wash, dry, and pack the lids ready to be delivered to the depot in Drysdale.
Please call or contact Maggie if you have some time. Maggie can let you know when the next working bee will be on.
Bruce Turner is continuing to promote our Pets on Parade. We only have 2 weeks to go folks.
So please give this a good push for us. Bruce still has some fliers to be distributed. Also, let all your family and friends know.
Kelly has commenced social media postings. You can ‘like’ the post – but please share these posts to your own Facebook pages when you see them. This way we can promote this event to a vast amount of people.
There are some great prizes to be won! Let’s all get behind this. All funds raised go to End Trachoma.
BBQ’s and Community Events have returned!
It was unfortunate that the November Cowrie Market had to be cancelled due to a very wet area the market is to set up in.
However, ………
Mal has sent out volunteering opportunities for us, for the coming weeks leading up to Christmas
We have Bunnings events and a Cowrie market.

On to our Annual General Meeting …..
The minutes from last year’s AGM and from our Special meeting in May, along with the 2020/2021 Club activities and finances were all moved, seconded, and passed.
Our Club Dues for the 2022/2023 Rotary Year were proposed to remain the same as this year – at $365. All present agreed on this and accepted the motion.
Ben announced the nominations for his board for the next Rotary Year.
These positions were accepted by all present.
There are still 2 positions that need filling – Membership and (dare I say) President Elect.
Please give these some serious consideration.
It has been mentioned to me that some members don’t recall receiving notification of last year’s Annual Report, when it was emailed out early July.

There is no club meeting on Monday (29th November). Those of us who have registered are off to the Trots on Friday 3rd December.
