PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Presidents Report

Welcome to the President’s Letter.

Much as we complain about winter, (and try to go to warmer places) I am pleased to see we have had more rain. I have enjoyed the fire while watching the rain fall.

I hope you all relaxed at home while our first Board Meeting was being held on Monday Night. We did manage to get a quorum, thanks to Neil being online. There were items held over until the four travelers, who were in warmer places, arrive back home.

Thursday saw us at Bob Petit Reserve providing a barbeque to the Moriac Primary School children, after they planted trees for the morning. They were energetic and hungry primary school children who polished off the sausages in bread. Nothing like a sausage sizzle after hard work planting trees and then mulching around them. Great to see hungry energetic children. They finished off their school excursion playing games on the oval. Thank you to those who helped at the barbeque – Gerard H (Trailer), John O, Daryl L, and Gail B (Supplies)

We did a chat to Robyn and Gerard. They were there having some fresh air and gentle exercise for Gerard and Robyn giving one of their dogs a run. It was great to see Gerard out and about; and also to have a chat to Robyn.

We will be asking for some help to get the barbeque trailer cleaned before the next barbeque. It is in desperate need of some TLC. And elbow grease.

Stay safe, warm, dry and healthy this week. Linda

Stories
Grants available

You may have seen promotions in the local paper for community grants being offered.

The board has a few of its suggestions, but I would really like to know from our creative and caring members, if they have a local cause or project they would like to see funded.

In case you missed it, check the link for the story from the surfcoast times, to see if your idea fits into their criteria. Then let one of the board, or myself know about your thoughts.

thank you.

Judy

Rosters

There are events that are being organised and we need help from as many of our members as possible.

This keeps our profile out there, as well as raise much needed funds for helping our community.

So please check the rosters list in the link and let John Weber know where you are available.  Thank you very much.
