Amy Hunter-Flint has been nominated as a finalist in the Westfield Local Heroes Awards on behalf of The Outpost, a charity that provides hot meals, clothing and support for Geelong’s homeless and disadvantaged, 365 days of the year.
Amy is both a volunteer and Board Chair of The Outpost. Amy has led The Outpost through escalating demand for The Outpost’s services, and her dedication is such that she lived on the streets for a week, so she could develop a full understanding of what the homeless in Geelong face. Amy is one of three finalists from 34 nominations for the award and if she is successful, Westfield will donate $20,000 to the Outpost to support its operations.
