The Torquay Business Awards presentation night was held on Thursday 10th and we had a table of eight Rotarians and two guests representing us on the evening. This event recognises outstanding local businesses in the 3228 postcode and the community.

 Please note that I am writing this report having spoken with President Linda, I was a late apology having succumbed to some form of virus.  This year Ben Featherston and I helped judge the 90 entries spread over 10 categories.

 Of special note was the Not-for-Profit entries as we sponsor this category.  The winner of this category was Ocean Mind and President Linda presented them with their prize.

 The function held at The Sands was attended by a near maximum 190 guests.  At times the music was a tad loud during the night making conversation difficult.

The Professional MC was a distinct improvement and while the night was long Rotary was acknowledged by most recipients during the evening, with particular mention made that is was Torquay Rotary who started this event.
