Last week Dr Bruce Anderson, the Chairman of the ARAM* Scientific Committee, President of the Strathmore Rotary Club, and a past Governor of District 9790, gave an enlightening presentation on the fight against malaria, at John Oswald's invitation.

Bruce covered the general principles of malaria transmission and its increasing incidence throughout the world and then commented on the proposed malaria project for Lese Oalai in PNG which John Oswald has been leading. Bruce gave us reassurance that our project aligns with PNGs Malaria Strategic Plan and that he thought the project, which will include school education and surveillance, was an excellent one.

Planning for our proposed project which also includes the upgrade of the existing Aid Post in the village is well advanced and we are now searching for funding.
