Recycling updates
1. Nature strips in Torquay do not need too much paperwork to complete, so it does not seem that we need to be involved on the small scale projects. I will put something together to advertise the advantages of native plants and not having to mow the strip!
It will include some of the considerations when planning your strip:
Is there a space for your bins?
Is there room to open a car door and step out, without harming your plants? [If that is appropriate].
Do your plant selections allow for cars to see, if you are on a corner?

There is an open gardens day on 8th November 10am - 3pm and I will have more information then, as one of the gardens is the nature strip on Fischer St.

2. Keep those lids and cans coming to meetings. I am almost ready to take a large number of lids to the recycle centre, where I can catch up with their needs and wishes. I will also be catching up with the local tech college, to find out when they would like to resume delivery of the ones they need for their 3D printing classes next year.
The CDS West app for depositing your own cans and recyclables, for the 10c deposit, is still not showing our club. This will be chased up again and we will keep you informed.
Many Thanks
