Ken is from the Rotary Club of Berry NSW, and spoke about paragliding from the world’s highest mountains. Fascinating!
We were treated to an amazing address form this very inspirational person. Ken is passionate about the End Polio campaign and has raised in excess of $250,000. This figure triples when the grants and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Funds are added. Very impressive from one person.
In 5 weeks, Ken and his team is heading to Mt. Everest, to climb to the peak, with all his gear. Once they arrive at the top of the mountain, Ken will put on all his ‘gear’ they have carted up there and paraglide back to ‘the ground’. We saw some film clips Ken has from some other ‘jumps’ he has done.
To put Polio eradication a little into perspective, there is a photo of what is required for one dose (only) to those in India.
