Greg Plumridge - Paul Harris Fellow
Greg Plumridge, Joined Rotary in 2002
He immediately became an integral member of the club and the board on several occasions.
In 2006 he went to the district inaugural leadership training at Warrnambool where he learned a lot about himself and developed confidence and skills to take on the role of Club President.
President 2007-2008. What a year! (out with Suziki and in with tyrepower) You sold one business and bought another one during the first half of that Rotary year. However you did not miss a beat – well not too many.
You created a culture at the club of openness and to include others – and Zac had his own name badge and attended most meetings with you. He and Mackenzie are regular attendees at our meetings.
You were one of the prime movers to get the car show off the ground which has become a very successful event – despite the first one being a drought breaker.
During the year as President you had Peter Bollen get the Enviro project underway with the schools in the surf coast shire.
You also had the club 20th Birthday celebrations.
2 Key projects were commenced that then ran over the following years:
1. Rob Emmett Playground on the esplanade
2. Bike path – that was completed and opened just a few weeks ago
Since then you have continued to contribute to the club, but one in one particular project that stands out.
