A short report this week following last week’s AGM, club meeting and Board Meeting.
At the Board Meeting we worked through and discussed the annual Club Health Check to the District Governor. There are a couple areas for ongoing improvement, the first being to update our Working with Children and Child Safety records and secondly the Club Strategic Plan (3-5 Years ahead). We will work on these in the new year.
This week’s guest is PDG Anthony Ohlsen, District 9780 Rotary Foundation Chair, who will update us on all aspects of the Foundations work. The following week, Monday 4th December, our guest will be PP Graeme Cox, District 9780 Youth Protection Officer.
Program Director Gail is keen to hear from you with ideas and venues for our Christmas celebrations on Monday 18th. More about that in the next week or 2.
Say No to Family and Domestic Violence
By the time you read this article, some of our members will have supported Zonta International’s walk and rally at Johnstone Park Geelong on Saturday 25th November. This event kicks off the “16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence”. Rotary Clubs in the Greater Geelong are actively supporting this and other events during this period.
