SN2DV
I am trying to organize a walk and some speeches for Tuesday 25th November. We would like as many people as possible to join us. But there will be more details to follow. Very sadly this is not getting any less in our communities. Please be ever vigilant for incidents occurring within your family or friends. Call them out. Teach your Grandchildren what Respect means and see if we as Rotarians can just prevent just one horrible incident of Domestic Violence.
Our Village
Gail B and I have accepted an invitation to attend a morning tea at Our Village on Friday. We thought it would be amazing if we could take in Nappies, wipes, toiletries, clothing, or underwear in as a donation. If you would like to donate, please bring things along Monday Night to our event at Oaktree Place. They will be truly appreciated and we will be more than happy to deliver them.
Board Meeting
On Monday night we held our Board Meeting. Once the minutes have been accepted and approved you will have access to the link and be able to read them. This coming week we will be holding an extraordinary Board Meeting to go through the Action Plans and then lodge our Goals and Objectives for this Rotary Year.
Landcare
On Thursday we cooked the Barbeque for Landcare, Surfriders and Bellbrae Primary School Pupils at Ashmore Arts. What an absolutely beautiful and peaceful place! We were blessed early on the see a Wedge Tailed Eagle fly around. Thank you to the team who helped – Gail B, Greg B, John W, and Richard H. We did enjoy the morning and when we weren’t feeding the hungry, we were enjoying the sunshine.
Geelong Show
On Friday I went into the Geelong Show to help in the Rotary Hamburger Pavillion. What a fantastic set up. I was super impressed. It is a permanent building and they run three events a year, and is their major fund raiser. An amazing number of Rotarians volunteer to keep this event happening each year. The systems they have from the cashier through to the cook – amazing. Enjoyable and informative morning.
Till next week, stay safe and healthy. Linda Neale
