Dear Members

What a night we had last week.  During the Club business segment of the evening two of our Portfolio Directors outlined their plans for the coming year.  Darrel Brewin spoke about Community Service and Jenny Oscar about Youth Service.  It looks like we are in for an interesting year in those two areas.  Their colleagues will be reporting next week.  After dinner our resident quiz master conducted a general knowledge trivia competition.  The room was abuzz with busy grey matter working overtime trying to determine the answers to some tricky questions.  In the end the "Curry Muncher" team (pictured at left) were triumphant with the highest score.  For their efforts they were rewarded with a bag of chocolate bars.  There go the kilojoules, I guess.  No need to despair for the other competitors as they also got some chocolate.  Let us see what unfolds next week.
Yours in Rotary Service,

Gerard McNamara
President 2014 / 2015
