DESCRIPTION:Amy Hunter is the coordinator of Welcome to Barwon\, a tiny gro
 up of five ordinary locals who wanted to do something about the global ref
 ugee crisis. Since signing up with Community Refugee Sponsorship Australia
 \, the group has raised $15\,000 towards setting up a new home for a refug
 ee family to move into and start their new life in our community. Now\, a
 fter receiving news in the last week\, the group knows who that family wi
 ll be. Join us in-person or online to learn more about Welcome to Barwon a
 nd its journey from a simple desire to help to now making final preparatio
 ns for welcoming a refugee family to the Surf Coast community. If you are 
 attending in person\, please register yourself (and partners/guests) befor
 e 12noon this Friday 23 February 2023 to ensure our caterer has sufficient
  notice to adequately cater for everyone and accommodate any special dieta
 ry requirements. Make sure you include these in the comments field at time
  of registration. Dinner cost is $30 per person with drinks at the usual K
