Hello everyone. What a great joint meeting we had with Grovedale-Waurn Ponds Rotary Club, with around 60 members, partners and guests present and lots of fun, warmth, sharing of stories and an excellent buffet meal.
We heard from two exceptional speakers, Lachlan and Emily Carlyle, who teach in outback NT in an indigenous community. Their experiences, their insights, their compassion and their commitment to the community was nothing short of inspiring. It was also a privilege to see th video of their daughter living and playing in the community, and building experiences which will shape much of her life and her values. Thank you Lachlan and Emily for letting us into your lives.
Thank you to everyone who attended, and to Bill and the members of Grovedale-Waurn Ponds for your excellent hospitality yet again.
Bookfair this week
One of our major fund raising events for the year, we know we will be very busy this week. A huge thank you to everyone involved, including our friends in Probus, for your assistance.
Don’t forget to continue collecting books, especially children’s books, and bring them along on Wednesday 25th, which is set up day.
If you have questions, are not sure about the roster or any other details, I am sure Rhonda will be happy to hear from you.
This is our major fundraising event for this year. I hope you will support ROMAC and have lots of fun and laughs at the same time.

The District conference is coming up quickly. It would be great to have a strong Torquay contingent at the conference and at the dinner on Saturday night. Please go online to register and pay.
We are providing and cooking the brunch on Sunday morning, along with Geelong East. More details soon.
